Ora Nissim, artist, poet, and mother of four children, was born into an Orthodox family in the Mea Shearim neighborhood of Jerusalem in 1978 and was one of 12 children. From her early childhood it was clear that Ora was born with a special talent for everything related to art. Like most artists, she had an original and unique perspective of the world. Her parents recognized her originality, and throughout her years in “Bais Yaakov” they supplied her with art education. She was taught by the best teachers in Israel including Casato, Rachel Lubin and Franklin, all of them graduates of “Sorbon and Lebozar” art academics. She later continued her studies in Lebozar art academy in France, where she acquired classic and modern techniques in art and started to develop her own unique style.
Ora’s paintings are powerful, colorful and full of life. In blots and expressional style she draws Jewish motives, glorious figures of holiness and the allies of Jerusalem. Through the colors ora potrays her out look on the world she came from, to the outsider, the hareidi world is portrayed as black and white. But her paintings are colorful and full range of colors, expressionist brush strokes and patche, combined knife and oil paint sculpture. She chooses to paint Jewish motifs, characters full of charm and sanctity to the the side of alleys of Jerusalem.
At the same time Ora gives over lectures to community centers, workers gatherings and seminars. Where she tells the story of personal “faith and art” – “From Mea Shearim to the art world”
Ora is a young promising artist whose paintings have already been displayed in many exhibitions. She has a private studio for art studies and presents her works in known galleries and collections in Israel and abroad. Among the others, her paintings displayed at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Jerusalem, in the Presidential Suites and in the hotel’s plaza.
